Festival survival guide

  • Tickets and ID - some festivals will ask for ID along with your ticket, and if you're heading to the bar expect to be asked to prove your age.

  • Cash - not all vendors take card, some festivals are cashless and you cant always rely of signal for card readers to work!

  • Power bank - keep that phone charged for finding friends are taking photos!

  • Refillable water bottle - the majority of festivals have water points available (plus nobody likes spending a fiver on a warm bottle!)

  • Sun cream - yes the British sun can be unpredictable but there's nothing worse than sunburn on top of burning calf muscles after a festival.

  • Medical kit - plasters, pain killers, any of your meds.

  • Tissues/toilet roll and hand sanitiser - the porta-loos get real nasty real quick!

  • Good comfy shoes - wellies are boots are good to have on hand.

  • Meeting point for friends/family - phone signal is usually patchy or non existent so have a spot that you can meet up if you separate.

  • Waterproof coat/poncho - the British rain is just as unpredictable as the sun.

  • IF CAMPING - make sure you have your tentpoles in the bag before you leave! Yes I've learnt the hard way with that one. Enough clothes, snacks, drinks, toiletries, pack more than you think you may need.

  • CHECK OUT BANDS YOU HAVN'T SEEN BEFORE AND HAVE FUN!
